Simon has been involved in professional photography since 1988 when he worked in the darkrooms of a newspaper developing and printing black and white photographs.  In 1990 Simon took the NCTJ in Photojournalism which is the newspaper standard qualification for photographers and then worked as a press photography for the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. In 1996 he left Peterborough to take up the role of being a photographer for the Northampton Chronicle & Echo before then working for Northants Press Agency. In 2000 Simon set up his own business photographing weddings in a documentary style, to date he has photographed over 1000 weddings all over the UK and Europe. A number of these have been for high profile celebrity clients. Simon also continued editorial, commercial and PR photography on a freelance basis.

Simon has photographed much of the Royal Family, captains of industry, rock stars, corporate events and conferences, the British army on training exercises, varied editorial assignments ranging from Tony Blair on his election campaign bus to photographing Rugby in France to hanging out of a helicopter taking aerial photographs. His real love is for documentary photography capturing real moments.

Simon works on full frame digital cameras using Canon L series professional prime lenses.
