Hello, I’m Simon, I have been involved in professional photography since 1988 when I worked in the darkrooms of a newspaper developing and printing black and white photographs. In 1990 I took the NCTJ in Photojournalism which is the newspaper standard qualification for photographers. I continued to work in newspapers as a photographer until 2000. I then started to photograph weddings in a documentary style. Since then I have photographed around 600 weddings all over the UK as well as a number of international weddings in locations such as Venice, Menorca, France and Ireland. I have photographed a number of high profile celebrity weddings for TV presenters, comedians and actors.
My wedding photography is documentary (also called reportage wedding photography or wedding photojournalism), that is I do not set up the photographs but instead use my photojournalists eye to capture story telling images that are full of emotion.
When I’m not taking photographs (or working on them in my office) you will find me walking my dog in the countryside or driving my 24 year old sports car.
